Hero Program Food Drive

The Young Lawyers Division is proud to partner with the Metro Nashville Public Schools' HERO Program to host a food drive from June 15-30, 2025, supporting students experiencing housing instability. These HERO students often live in hotels, shelters, or shared housing with other families. The HERO Program, in collaboration with the nonprofit Nashville Community Connections, works to ensure that school remains a steady and positive part of their lives. Support includes school clothing, new shoes, winter coats, hygiene items, school supplies, and access to the HERO Family Fund—a flexible resource for social workers and support staff to meet urgent family needs. The HERO Pantry serves families with limited or no kitchen access, often leading to food insecurity. Their team has created a grocery list based on feedback from parents and caregivers to ensure donations truly meet their needs.

You can help in one of two ways:

Shop from the Amazon list and have items sent directly to the HERO Pantry.

OR

Shop locally using the grocery list and drop off your items at the donation box located at the NBA office (150 4th Ave N, Ste 1350 Nashville, TN 37219). Look for the clearly marked HERO Food Drive Donation Box if staff is not present to take your donation.
