Second Harvest Food Bank
The mission of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee is to nourish and empower people so they can thrive.
Across Middle and West Tennessee, 1 in 8 people face food insecurity, including 1 in 6 children. At the same time, nearly 40% of the nation’s food supply goes to waste. To address this, Second Harvest collects donated surplus food from grocery stores, farmers, and other partners, diverting it from landfills to support neighbors in need.
The organization is working toward a future where every community member is food secure and no food is wasted. Community support helps make this vision possible.
